Vertical
farms apply resources such as space, water, and fertilizer much more efficient
than conventional agricultural methods. Moreover, vertical farms can be built
anywhere and significantly reduce the distance from the point of production to
the point of consumption, normally termed food mileage. Lastly, vertical
farming is the only production method available today that allows for
production completely without the use of pesticides, herbicides, and
fungicides. Therefore, the product itself is much more safe and healthy to eat.
